We have property around the Greater Manchester and Cheshire area that we are recruiting for and are looking for committed staff who are not afraid of a challenge and who have a natural sense of empathy with others who need support along with bucket loads of common sense. You will have an easy going personality and are tolerant of others who may display behaviour that challenges on occasion. You are able to thrive in a high pressure environment, and have organisation skills and ability to think outside the box.

Our main focus aside from the people we support are our Support Workers - most of our office staff started as Support Workers and have been promoted internally. With our Supervisors, Team Leaders, and Managers all still delivering hands on support, we are a business that stays in touch with its staff because we lead from the front. You will enable the people we support to lead their best lives based upon their personal support needs. You need to work to the standards set internally (by Compassionate Care) and externally (by the Care Quality Commission), doing all you can to make sure that the people we support and your colleagues come to no harm and that the people we support are satisfied with the level of support they receive. You will achieve this by communicating with individuals and by following the underpinning principles of Person Centred Active Support (PCAS). Don t worry if you ve never done this before - we will train people that we think have what it takes to become an amazing support worker.

Offering people opportunities to be involved as often as possible, in the way that best suits them, eg. as little or as much as they like.
Offering ‘just enough’ support to ensure people succeed.
Ensuring that people you support make as many choices as possible, so they remain in control.
As we provide 24/7 support, you will need to be able to work shifts, including weekends, some nights and Bank Holidays. Our shift patterns are as follows:
8am to 3pm
12pm - 8pm *
3pm - 11pm
10pm to 8am (waking nights)
We have supported living properties in Carrington, Urmston, Eccles, Macclesfield and Knutsford. You can work shifts as per the above times flexibly to fit in around family life, however you must be able to commit to alternative weekends. In return we will offer you a guaranteed hours contract based upon how may hours of work suit your lifestyle.This role does involve supporting people with learning disabilities and enduring mental health problems and so it s vitally important that you are reliable and trustworthy.
Salary: £8.50 to £9.00 /hour. Guaranteed hours contracts are available.
We can accommodate people who use alternative methods of transport i.e. bicycle, walking, helicopter, horses, spaceship, skateboard etc...….
