We are looking for qualified nursery practitioners to join our team.


Full time (8am - 6pm)

Must hold a Level 2 or 3 childcare qualification


To provide a safe, stimulating and caring Early Years learning environment for children aged 3 months to 5 years and to work in partnership with the Manager, Deputy Manager and Room Leader to promote and maintain high standards of professional outstanding practice.


  • Working in partnership with and supporting the Room Leader/Senior EYE to ensure the daily running and administration of the classroom, to which you work in.
  • Following the Policies & Procedures of the nursery and compliance with the Children Act, Health and Safety legislation and within the guidelines of Ofsted and the National Standards.
  • Ensuring confidentiality is maintained in the nursery.
  • Consider all individual children’s care routines – nappies, toileting, bottles, sleep times, diets and meals etc.
  • Ensuring safeguarding is at a high standard and reported in the correct process. It is your main duty of care.
  • Remembering to complete specific daily admin to ensure children’s safety for example head count forms and risk assessments.
  • Actively imputing on the planning sheet, setting up activities based around children’s interest and learning/development in all area’s development matters/EYFS.
  • As a key person – educate, organize, monitor and nurture.
  • Problem solve in all aspects of your day-to-day role and liaise with your immediate team when you’re unable to do this.
  • Effectively communicate with your immediate and extended team and having a positive attitude throughout your working shift.
  • Consistent and clear communication between parents/carers verbally and electronically.
  • Creating parental partnerships with all children and families (no favoritism)
  • Attending regular meetings and be pro-actively participate in them.
  • Complete regular compulsory training and use it within your day-to-day job role.
  • Maintain a high standard of learning, stimulation and continuity within your base room.
  • Be an outstanding role model for Nursery Practitioners and Students.
  • Proactively organize your classroom environment to a high standard with fun, stimulating and constant access to learning in all areas.
  • Providing feedback to the Room Leader/Senior EYE on any issues relating to the nursery day.
  • Offering all children equal opportunities with regard to their religious persuasion, racial origins, gender, disabilities, cultural or linguistic background; in particular, challenge situations where racism or discrimination is displayed. (promoting diversity)

  • As part of your job description and following Bellissima’s belief of ‘no such thing as bad weather, just bad clothing’ ensure you’re fully equipment for all weathers for indoor/outdoor play.
  • Behavior management – refer to Bellissima policy and ensure this is consistent. (Patience, children learn at different levels)


Essential skills/Experience MUST hold a NVQ Level 2 & 3 in Childcare
