Lots of Care Ltd is seeking compassionate and dedicated Female Senior Care Assistants to join our team in providing exceptional home care services to the elderly in the community. The Senior Care Assistant will play a key role in supporting the physical, emotional, and social well-being of our clients, promoting independence and enhancing quality of life.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide personal care assistance to clients, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting, with sensitivity and respect for their dignity and privacy.
  • Assist clients with mobility and transfers, utilising proper manual handling techniques to ensure their safety and comfort.
  • Administer medication as prescribed by healthcare professionals, following established protocols and maintaining accurate documentation.
  • Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding as needed, adhering to dietary restrictions and preferences.
  • Perform light housekeeping tasks, such as laundry, dishwashing, and tidying up living spaces, to maintain a clean and comfortable environment for clients.
  • Engage clients in meaningful activities and companionship to promote social interaction and mental stimulation.
  • Escort clients to appointments, errands, and recreational outings, ensuring their safety and well-being during transportation.
  • Monitor and report any changes in clients' health or behaviour to the appropriate supervisor or healthcare professionals promptly.
  • Foster positive relationships with clients and their families, demonstrating empathy, patience, and understanding in all interactions.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills in home care practices.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in home care or elder care settings.
  • Knowledge of medication administration procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and their families.
  • Compassionate and patient demeanor, with a genuine desire to improve the quality of life for seniors.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with flexibility to adapt to changing schedules and client needs.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred.



Licence/Certification:

Driving Licence (required)

NVQ Level 2 Health & Social Care (preferred)

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Bury St. Edmunds
