Level 3 Qualified Nursery Nurse

 

Nurse Seekers is proud to be recruiting a Level 3 Qualified Nursery Practitioner on behalf of a private quality Nursery based in Kendal, Cumbria. The successful candidate must be an energetic and passionate individual with a real passion for childcare and want to work with children to fulfil their greatest potential!

 

Key Responsibilities

 

·       Deliver outstanding learning opportunities and exceptional care.

·       Plan and provide effective teaching and learning.

·       Safeguard and promote the health, safety and welfare of children

·       Prepare and Supervise Activities

·       Communicate with colleagues, parents/carers to meet the individual needs of the children

·       Make accurate and effect assessments of the children during the stages of development

  • Encourage children to tidy up by encouraging them, making it FUN and praising them with stickers and certificates. Encourage children to take responsibility for their environment.
  • Plan, carry out and tidy away a range of activities to support children’s interests following themes or topics.
  • Work as a team with other staff members.
  • Uphold standards within the Setting by adhering to all policies and procedure.
  • To develop your role within the team especially with regard as a key worker.
  • Look upon the Setting as a "whole" i.e. where can your help be most utilised.
  • To be aware of the high profile of the Setting and to uphold its standards at all time.
  • Support all staff and engage in a good staff tea
  • To keep a proper record of achievement file on key children, for parents/carer
  • Work alongside parents/carers of special needs children to provide full integration in the Setting.

 

 

 

Essentials

·       Level 3 qualification in early years and childcare.

·       An understanding of child protection and safeguarding policies and procedures.

·       Good communication skills both written and verbal.

·       Sound understanding of child development from birth to five years, and of children’s needs.

·       An understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage.

  • An understanding of and commitment to equal opportunities and an understanding of equality and diversity issues.
