The Roche Learning Village Partnership (RLVP) was established following the results of a Parish Survey carried out in 1997 which identified a clear need and demand for locally based training, and associated childcare, to offer disadvantaged groups within Roche the opportunity to access training, relevant to the local labour market, based within the grounds of Roche C P School.

In 2001 we successfully won a bid for £200,000 of funding, including Objective 1 and SW RDA to create the Roche Family Learning Centre. This Centre provided:

  • The Pebbles Nursery for children 3 months and up, offering both sessional and full day care.
  • A fully equipped adult training facility.

In 2005 the new Roche Pebbles Childcare Centre was created to complement these existing facilities to enable quality childcare for babies and children from 3 months to 11 years.
