To work within your team of social practitioners in order to achieve high standards in the management of the care home and ensure that children within the care home receive the best care possible.

 

To help build long-term relationships with local authorities, key stakeholders, staff, and with the young people, whilst maintaining the upkeep of the home.


 

Accountabilities

 

1.    Overall responsibility for all aspects of working within the care home, ensuring that you are part of the staff team that enables the children we support to lead a valued and fulfilling life, maximising their potential physically, intellectually, emotionally, socially and ensuring their wellbeing.

 

2.    Ensuring that care home operations meet and exceed our targets as outlined in our Statement of Purpose (SOP).

 

3.    Build effective relationships with current and potential referral sources such as Local Authorities, GPs and Hospitals. Actively targeting and securing new referrer relationships for existing/new facilities.

 

4.    Communicate with Young People, Social Workers, Councils, Family and making sure every day emails are complete.

 

5.    Completion of all required Policies, Pathways, Risk Assessments, Care Plans, Health and Safety Checks etc.

8.    Maintain a physical presence at the Home over agreed periods across the week.

 

 

 

9.    Support the Registered Manager with Liaisons and meetings with Councils in and out of London informing them of current available properties for service users. Understand their requirements and fit our services around them where required and possible.

 

10. Responsible for driving awareness amongst referrers in service lines and strategic imperatives.


 


11. Build multi-level relationships with Referrers, Clinicians, Practice Managers, Secretaries, and other key influencers, and develop a full understanding of their requirements and changing needs.

 

 

Job Context

 

Mastery Services aim to provide a safe home for neuro-divergent children between the ages of 11 to 18 who need 24-hour care and support. The property has the capacity to support 2 young people currently but will extend to supporting 3 young people in 2024. We are committed to ensuring a high standard of care for children and young people with severe Learning Disabilities. Working with Local Authorities

 

You will be a conduit through which local authorities commission our services. Once the placement is made, the Registered Manager will be responsible for completing any placement forms required by the Commissioner.

 

Business Development

 

You will be responsible for business development with current and potential Commissioners.

 

 

 

 

 

Skills and Expertise

 

?     Proactive and results-driven individual who can work on their own initiative and work under pressure in changing environments.

 

?     Successful field sales experience in a related industry such as, Social Work and Healthcare, Experience within account management, business development, new business acquisition, client relationship management.

 


?     Ensuring the general upkeep of the Children’s Home.

 

?     Be committed to building up a new home.

 

?     Providing considerate care and support to the children within the care home.

 

?     Displaying a safe atmosphere through safeguarding from abuse, neglect, and harm to allow them to be positive throughout their day-to-day life.

 

?     Ensuring that you are professional throughout your shift, whilst organising children’s activities, attending children reviews, appointments and meetings when required.


 

?     Delivering clear communication, reporting, and recording safeguarding concerns, updating records policies and procedures, adhering to policies and procedures and creating positive community relationships.

 

 

 

 

Requirements

 

?     Enhanced DBS

 

?     Full UK Driving License

 

?     Up-to-date CV with Cover Letter attached.

Normal Working Hours

 

Your hours of work will be 40 hours a week. This will be organised in such a way that between the Registered Manager and Deputy Manager cover all daytime hours. Schedules will be agreed 3 weeks in advance and will be centred around the needs of our young people.

Our home on Downham Way in Bromley, London has 3 spacious bedrooms, a study room, a living space, an office and sleeping area for staff and a large outside garden. Our mission for any child staying here is to foster a neuro-safe space for young people to pursue their dreams without barriers.
