Pony & Panda is a bilingual nursery group, delivering EYFS activities in both English and Chinese. Our Wimbledon nursery, located very close to Wimbledon Park Underground Station, is the second nursery in our group. We welcome children from all backgrounds and have a diverse community of families, with and without Chinese connections

 

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Level 3 Room Leader/Third in charge to join our passionate team

Requirements:

·NVQ Level 3 in Childcare 

·Minimum: 1-year leadership experience 

·Full time (40 hours per week) 

·4 days per week 

·07:30 – 18:30

·Minimum of 2 years' experience working within Childcare 

·Good understanding of the EYFS framework

As a Nursery Practitioner, you will:

• Plan, deliver and evaluate age-appropriate and stimulating activities for children aged 9 months to 5 years.
• Observe, record, and assess children's development and learning progress.
• Build strong and positive relationships with parents/carers and maintain open communication.
• Ensure the safety, wellbeing, and hygiene of all children in your care.
• Uphold safeguarding, child protection and health & safety procedures at all times.
• Collaborate effectively with colleagues and contribute to the wider nursery team.
• Be reliable and trustworthy
• Be able to work on your own initiative

The motivation behind establishing Pony & Panda Bilingual Nurseries is rooted in research showing that learning two contrasting languages, such as English and Chinese, simultaneously can support children’s cognitive development. As a result, our curriculum and activities are central to our ethos. We expect members of the leadership team to actively contribute ideas and take part in developing our rich curriculum, which includes language learning, STEAM activities, outdoor learning, and more.
