Buds that Blossom Nursery has been founded on over 20 years’ experience in caring for babies and children. It offers the highest quality, professional childcare for children from 3 months to 5 years old. We are a small 34 place independent nursery based in Aylesbury.


Requirements;

  • Level 3 in Childcare
  • At least 2 years management experience
  • All year round
  • Full time (Mon - Fri)


As a manager you will:

1. To oversee the efficient and safe running nursery and to provide support to the senior management team to ensuring they too are managing their base rooms appropriately.

2. To provide guidance and leadership to other members of the team particularly with planning, welfare of children, safeguarding, heath and safety and teamwork.

3. To co-ordinate rotas, deployment, lunches etc whilst maintain staff to child ratios always.

4. To undertake objective setting, annual appraisals and termly reviews in conjunction with the senior management team.

5. To provide coaching, supervision, and career advice to team members.

6. To contribute to the induction process for new and promoted staff.

7. To contribute to the settling-in process for new and transition children.

8. To develop strong partnership with parents, colleagues, children, and external support services.

9. To develop plans for the nursery, staying abreast of changes in legislation and best practice.

10. To manage the day-to-day operational running of the nursery whilst maintaining a strong focus on childcare, effectively manage the nursery.


Self-Management

  • Attends training courses to further personal development and ensure the team are up to date.
  • Performs ad hoc duties as required.
  • conduct team meetings and other events.
  • s mindful of personal safety and safety of colleagues.
  • develop initiatives that directly benefit the nursery. Support the team to grow and develop, Maintain a clean and safe environment, Ensure staff/child ratios maintained ,Undertake observations, Supervise , Attend and participate in training programs, Be a great role model to the staff and children. Ensure confidentiality is maintained.
