Our Client are looking to employ a Deputy Nursery Manager for their nursery based in Coventry. The Deputy Manager must have excellent organisation and managerial skills together with a well driven, passionate attitude. Requirements: * Minimum of NVQ Level 3 in Childcare and Education or equivalent * Proven experience of working within a childcare setting and ideally some experience with SEN children * The relevant skills to manage a busy children's nursery and to ensure efficient and proper implementation of Ofsted's Early Years Foundation Stage Statutory Framework and all associated requirements. * Always be planning towards the next Ofsted inspection * To always be working towards 100% occupancy at the nursery * Good observation, identification, assessment and record keeping skills. * To ensure all safeguarding processes and procedures are always fully implemented and adhered to Main Duties: * Ensuring the nursery rigorously complies with the Early Years Foundation Stage Statutory Framework in every aspect * To be responsible for implementing systems of observation and record keeping so that children's progress and achievements are effectively and regularly assessed; to monitor the effectiveness of assessment procedures. * Always ensure the welfare and happiness of all children in the Nursery and ensure that children's individual needs are met at all times * Be aware any children in their care with special needs (including special educational needs and disabilities) and is proactive in ensuring appropriate action is taken to promote the welfare and development of those children within the nursery * To be responsible for providing a high quality of education and learning, ensuring that staff are properly deployed and offer appropriate stimulation and support to the children attending the setting. * Strive to develop loyalty and commitment of parents and build a relationship of trust with them and their satisfaction with the nursery service. * Provide a high level of management and leadership, cultivate a strong sense of team morale amongst their nursery team. * They must ensure the professional image of the nursery including cleanliness, tidiness, atmosphere and organisation of the equipment * Accommodate visitors and show them around the nursery with a view to selling sessions, they should be able to take bookings and advise how deposits should be paid.
