The Role
As a Senior Care Assistant, you will play a key role in delivering outstanding care and supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the home. You will provide leadership and guidance to the care team while ensuring residents receive compassionate, person-centred support at all times.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Leading, mentoring, and supporting care staff during shifts
• Delivering exceptional, person-centred care to residents
• Supporting residents with daily routines and individual needs
• Administering medication (training provided if required)
• Maintaining accurate care plans and documentation
• Promoting dignity, independence, and wellbeing at all times
• Creating a safe, positive, and supportive environment for residents
About You
• NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (desirable)
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a senior care role within a care home setting
• A calm, compassionate, and proactive approach
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Medication training (desirable but not essential)
• A genuine passion for delivering high-quality, person-centred care
