Liberty House is a Residential Care Home located in Erdington, Birmingham. We support adults with learning disabilities, age 18-65.
We are currently recruiting for a part-time flexible support worker (who can work days and nights) with a Level 2 QCF qualification in Health and Social Care and at least 2 years of experience. The hours would be on a two-week rota, week 1 working Saturday and Sunday nights (12 hrs each) and week 2 working 2 days (7.5 hrs each), plus overtime is available.
Nights starts from 9pm-9am
Days vary: 9.00am- 1.30pm
9.00am-4.30pm
8.00am-4.30pm
1.30pm-9.00pm
IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL:
· Be reliable and trustworthy
· Be able to work on your own initiative.
· Previous experience is preferred but not essential.
· Be willing to participate in basic training such as care certificate, first aid, DBS.
The duties of the post:
· Ensure the highest possible levels of care are maintained by supporting/assisting residents when required with all aspects of daily living.
· The ability to work well with others.
· Patience and the ability to remain calm in stressful situations.
· The ability to accept criticism and work well under pressure.
· To be thorough and pay attention to detail.
· Assist residents in all aspects of their care needs (e.g., physical, emotional, and spiritual). Provide attention when needed whilst ensuring residents retain their comfort and dignity.
