Based in Bootle we have an exciting opportunity for a Room Leader to join our nursery setting. As Room leader you will be working directly with the Nursery Manager on the day to day running of the Nursery. Being a role model and representing the Nursery at a high standard. You will also be overseeing and supporting other members of the team.
Requirements of the Room Leader –
· Minimum 3 years’ post qualification experience
· Minimum Level 3 early years qualification or equivalent
· Thorough understanding and knowledge of legislation including EYFS
· Empathetic, caring and friendly
Key Responsibilities of the room leader will include:
· To oversee the efficient and safe running of the allocated Base Room
· To ensure that the welfare and safety of children is paramount within the setting and any child protection concerns are always appropriately acted upon immediately.
· To maintain staff child ratios at all times
· To contribute to the induction process for new and promoted staff
· To develop strong partnerships with parents, colleagues, children
· Co-ordination of tasks and responsibilities and the ability to delegate where necessary
· To assist the manager in setting, implementing and reviewing policies for the nursery.
· To be a key holder to the nursery.
· To ensure high standards of hygiene and cleanliness are maintained at all times.
· To ensure the provision of a high-quality environment to meet the needs of individual children, having an awareness of any disabilities, family cultures, and medical histories.
· To ensure confidentiality of all information received.
· To assist with staff development and training.
