The Company
Nurse Seekers are excited to be recruiting Nursing Home Manager for a fantastic private care provider operating two excellent care home which serve the Glasgow area.
Our client is committed to placing the rights of their residents at the forefront of everything they do, and they are looking for a Manager of the highest order who can take the running of the home to the next level!
The Home
Situated on the south side of Glasgow, this purpose built Nursing Home provides elderly care to approximately 40 with a strong history of ‘Very good’ Care Inspectorate Ratings.
The Role
As the Registered Manager you will be responsible for the leadership and day-to-day running of all aspects of the home, which includes managing budgets, management and coordination of an inclusive, ethical service with kindness and compassion. Promote the well-being, safety and security of the residents by providing safe effective and high-quality tailored care to meet the care home’s statement of purpose.
Desirable Skills:
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills together with the ability to communicate with a range of people using a variety of communication methods.
- Excellent written skills for writing reports.
- Ability to effectively risk assess and develop practices to manage those risks.
- A passion for working with people and providing person-centred care.
- Leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate others.
- The capacity to work under pressure and to take a problem-solving approach to work.
- Effective organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise own and others’ workload.
- Ability to line manage all staff within the home.
- An understanding of accountability to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications and Experience
- Nursing qualification – RGN or RMN
- Minimum 5 years post registration experience
- Experience of Senior Management within a Nursing, Residential or Day Care setting.
- Experience of delivering strong Care Inspectorate ratings is desirable.
