It is the responsibility of the Assistant Manager to assist the Registered Manager to organise the day to day running of the service provision through the Policies, training, supervision and guidance provided by the Company.

To assist the Registered Manager in marketing the services provided by the Company and liaising with commissioners, prospective Service Users, health professionals and other agencies connected with training and development of the service.

Duties and Responsibilities:
· To assist the manager in achieving the aims and objectives of the Statement of Purpose.
· To deputise in the absence of the Registered Manager.
· To support and manage the staff to enable them to meet the needs of the people
· To conduct supervisions with the staff team.
· To be part of the on-call rota.
· To work in partnership with other professionals to achieve the best outcomes for young people.
· To ensure that resources are allocated appropriately and financial records are accurately maintained.
Person Specification:
· A good standard of literacy and numeracy
· NVQ 3 / Level 3 Diploma in Health Care (or equivalent) (Level 5 to be applied for within 6 months)
· Team Building and Supervision Skills
· Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing
· Understanding the needs of old and vulnerable people
· Good organisational skills
What are your duties as a Healthcare Assistant in this package?
· Able to support in Moving and Handling & Personal Care
· Support and maintain all clinical needs such as bowel and tracheostomy care
· To be respectful and maintain professional boundaries
· Someone who will go above and beyond for the Service User and staff involved in the package
Requirements:
· A minimum of 6 months professional care experience
· The right to work in the UK and have the correct documentation for this
· A full enhanced DBS
· An up to date CV with full working history
Personal care is a term we use to refer to supporting you with personal hygiene and toileting, along with dressing and maintaining your personal appearance.
Some personal care tasks include:
- Bathing and showering
- Medication administration*
- Applying lotions and creams as required
- Dressing and getting ready for bed
- Oral hygiene
- Support with shaving
- Foot care, especially if you are diabetic need to be extra vigilant with your feet (not podiatry or nail cutting)
- Helping you to the toilet, including using a commode or bed pan
- Changing continence pads, along with cleaning intimate areas
- Support moving position in bed, to stretch and prevent bed sores
