Job Title: Nursery Practitioner, working with 0-2 year old children
- Busikids Day Nursery, is a 72 place, independent day nursery just outside Hedge End Village. We have been caring for children for over 25 years, and are now looking for Practitioners to join our lovely, friendly team caring for these little ones.
- We are open Monday to Friday 7.30 am to 6 pm and operate a rolling shift system that allows for a ‘short’ day every other day.
- The salary is £21,000 to £23,000 working an average 37.5 hours a week.
- We are able to offer longer days and overtime and able to negotiate these hours
- We offer full time hours, part time hours and even ‘bank’ work if that suits you?
- We will train you in Nursery ways if you are newly qualified and ease you into the role.
We are currently offering a £500 starting Bonus (terms and conditions apply)
Responsibilities:
- To provide high-quality care and education to children aged 6 months to school age.
- Create a safe and stimulating environment for children to learn and play.
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities, following Busikids curriculum.
- Observe and monitor children's development, identifying any areas of concern.
- Collaborate with parents and guardians to ensure the well-being and development of each child
- Maintain accurate records of children's progress and daily routines
- Attend staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities as required
Qualifications:
- Minimum relevant level 3 in Early Childhood Education or a related field
- Previous experience working in a nursery or early years setting is preferred, but not compulsory
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
