Early Years Practitioner

Smiley Faces are looking for a qualified level 3 Early Years Practitioner to join their team!!

The ideal candidate will be qualified in Early Years with experience of working within a fun, bright and busy setting. (0-4 years).

To provide high quality childcare and support as part of a professional team. To uphold the ethos and support the vision of the nursery under the supervision of the Business and Childcare Manager and Nursery Manager. To provide a safe, exciting, fun environment for children to develop and grow within the EYFS framework. Contribute to change and be active in future improvements through-out the nursery.

Full-time

42.5 hours per week

Permanent

£10.42 – £10.96 per hour (negotiable)

The candidate will need to demonstrate, discuss :

· Exceptional communication skills with both children and adults

· Ability to provide high quality childcare, learning and development as part of a professional team

· A keen sense of confidentiality

· Be familiar with the welfare requirements

· Underpinning knowledge of safeguarding and 'how to keep children safe'

· Knowledge of wider safeguarding issues such as: FGM, Prevent duty, County lines

· Provide rich learning opportunities that facilitates effective teaching

· Understand and observe each child’s development and learning; assessing progress and planning next steps

· Be responsive and sensitive to children’s needs, feelings and interest

· Support children’s efforts and independence

· Build key person relationship

· Build parent partnerships: daily handovers, development discussions, meet and greets
