C&S Makenston provides high-quality, person-centred care and support to children, young people, and adults across the community. Due to the continued growth of our children's services, we are looking to recruit compassionate and dedicated Child Support Workers to join our growing team.
Our aim is to provide safe, consistent, and individualised support that enables children and young people to develop confidence, build independence, and achieve positive outcomes within their home and community environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver person-centred support tailored to each child's individual needs
- Support children and young people with daily routines, personal care, meal preparation, and age-appropriate activities
- Promote communication, social interaction, emotional well-being, and independence
- Build positive and professional relationships with children, young people, and their families
- Implement and follow care plans developed by healthcare and social care professionals
- Support children and young people to access community activities, appointments, and social opportunities
- Accurately record and report any changes in behaviour, health, or well-being
- Maintain safeguarding standards and follow all company policies and procedures
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided
- A caring, patient, and compassionate approach
- The ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A full UK driving licence
- The right to work in the UK
- Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends
