Maplewood Independent Living are looking for a Female to support a young lady in her day-to-day life who lives in the Chelmsford/Maldon area.


You would need to be able to drive and have business insurance.


The role would be Monday to Friday 9-4 and include taking them to work and supporting them in their workplace and also to do activities.

The Role 

  • To support them to live as independently as possible. 
  • Facilitate in and accompany on day trips and in fun activities. 
  • Assist with communication and homework 
  • Maintain clear and accurate records. 
  • Ensure health, safety and well-being of the service users and yourself. 
  • Maintain regular and courteous contact with the branch manager. 


The Requirements 

  • Reliable with an excellent work ethic. 
  • Provide the highest standards of care and support. 
  • Respect the individuality and confidentiality of the service users. 
  • Respect the service user’s independence and authority, be mindful of their wishes and to always treat them with fairness and courtesy. 
  • Ensure and adhere to strict standards of health and safety thereby ensuring the health, safety and welfare of the service users and themselves at all times. 
  • Willing to undergo an Enhanced DBS check. 
  • Have a valid driving licence, own transport with business insurance. 


Desired Skills 

  • Previous experience is advantageous, however not essential as comprehensive training will be provided. 
  • Excellent communications skills – good standard of spoken and written English. 
  • Reliability. 
  • Good timekeeping. 
  • Trustworthy. 
  • Smart professional appearance. 
  • Responsible. 
  • Dedicated team player. 
Essential skills/Experience Full UK driving licence and own vehicle
