Wibli Wobli nursery is a new setting in Rogerstone, Newport, for up to 40 children aged 2 to 5 years.
Our nursery cook will be working in a lovely brand new kitchen which is connected to the main area via a hatch so that you feel like part of the wider team. We currently have a Level 5 hygiene rating and take pride in preparing fresh, nutritious meals for our children.
We are currently seeking an experienced cook to join our team in a part-time role. As part of our team, you'll have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the health and happiness of our children through your culinary skills.
Requirements: • Experience in cooking nutritious meals from scratch • Passion for preparing fresh, healthy meals
• Up-to-date knowledge of environmental health guidelines • Awareness of and ability to cater to allergies and allergens • Level 2 hygiene qualification • Enhanced DBS check (to be completed prior to starting) Responsibilities: • Prepare fresh and nutritious meals
• Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety standards • Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently • Assist with the cleaning and organisation of the kitchen and equipment • Restock kitchen supplies as needed during shifts • Adhere to all food hygiene and safety standards • Collaborate with the nursery manager (and children!) on menu planning • Monitor and record food temperatures • Prepare reports related to kitchen activities

Although the cook is not required to speak Welsh, it is encouraged for you to learn the language and we can provide free language training courses if desired. At Wibli Wobli nursery we nurture children to learn and grow through language and play. We are located on the 1st Floor of Wern House in Rogerstone, Newport.
We are the very first Welsh language daycare nursery in Newport. Children do not need to speak any Welsh to join us but they will soak it up and gain all the benefits from learning another language at a young age.
We are currently registered to accept children from 2-5 years.
