We are looking for an experienced & committed Complex Care Manager who will provide leadership for the Nursing and Care staff, support the development and delivery of consistently high quality care for clients whilst managing new and existing packages with complex health and social care needs.

This role is operational so will require you to drive between Clients and appointments.

Main Tasks to include but not limited to:

• Provide overall day to day operational management of the complex care service, staffing and Rota management.
• Responsible for overseeing the development of all care staff within the specified area.
• Complete weekly visits with the Clients to support them and the Care staff.
• Support the Operational team with back up support on the out of hours call service.
• Attend reviews as part of a multidisciplinary team and advocate for the Client.
• Complete all moving and handling competencies with all Care staff.
• Carry out all operational risk assessments.
• Liaise with the Director and HR department to create strategies that reflect the current staffing needs and assist in successful recruitment, selection and retention practices
• Maintain and develop systems that underpin performance management of Care staff. This to include appraisals, support and supervision, team & departmental meetings, absence monitoring and employee led meetings.
• Support the Director to achieve a high degree of service delivery, ensuring that goals are achieved through effective management practices and staff are motivated and supported to build strategic, long term and sustainable customer service relationships.
• Working closely with the clinical team to ensure all Care provided is safe and staff are trained to competently deliver the best standard of care.
• Liaise with the finance team to ensure that cost data is current and that benchmarks are in place to develop and grow the business by actively encouraging a proactive and strategic business development attitude with all levels of employees.
• Ensure all activities are carried out in accordance with statutory requirements and organisational policies and procedures.
• Manage the administration function of the packages, developing and designing improvements to systems [manual and electronic] in line with organisational priorities and strategic planning; together with the development of working practices to meet all anticipated challenges in the future.
• Ensure all staff are working in adherence to the agreed administration systems.
• Plan and provide regular reports to the Director and other members of the senior management team on all areas of work as required
