To learn, understand, promote and proactively demonstrate the homes secure base working model.

To support children in a truly child centred manner

To support children in the exploring and understanding of their own feelings, memories and emotions safely in a nurturing environment

To proactively promote the homes ethos and Statement of Purpose in a way which influences and creates positive culture and is inspirational to the Children, staff team and others? Ensure that this is reflected throughout all aspects of the homes service.

To take interest in and contribute to the development of the home

Take responsibility for the effective and efficient running of shifts.

Work within, and ensure effective delivery of the policies and procedures in the home, and the company.

Ensure on-going assessment of children’s needs in day to day practice.

Promote and actively encourage the delivery of a safe, structured and nurturing environment which is balanced with appropriate boundary.

Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team both within the home and with external agencies.

Relate to and engage children who reside in the home.

At all times ensure the health, safety and well being of the children.

Deliver the support required to ensure the life chance opportunities of children are met in relation to their social, educational, leisure, emotional, physical and cultural needs.

Ensure a variety of intervention strategies are utilised in relation to behaviour management which are supportive of a nurturing approach.

Ensure an open culture is created so that children feel they can complain and that they are listened to.

Ensure that all administrative requirements of the home are maintained in such a way that they are compliant with good childcare practices, homes procedures, company policies and children’s home regulations.

At all times promote and ensure anti-discriminatory practice.

Undertake all relevant training as and when required and work in line with related expectation.

You must co-operate with the Company in complying with the Health and Safety requirements and are therefore expected to follow Company policies, to acquaint yourself with the Fire, Health and Safety Procedures at your place of work and report any unsafe practices and conditions.
