Essential Skills / Experience

What can I expect to be doing as a care assistant?

Supporting clients with personal hygiene tasks such as showering, toileting, dressing etc.

Preparing meals

Supporting with social interaction

Going shopping with the client or doing their shopping for them

Having fun and laughter with clients and using your skills to help them deal with day-to-day difficulties

Assisting clients to use moving and assisting equipment, e.g. Stand aid, hoist, etc. This is done on a 2:1 basis only

Administering medication (Full training will be provided)

Domestic tasks e.g. laundry, washing up and cleaning bathrooms

Accompanying clients to doctor’s or Hospital appointments

Using software systems on your mobile to document what you have done during the client's visit

Ideal Candidate / Profile

You must be Reliable, adaptable & committed

You must be friendly and have a great sense of humour

Ability to lone work as well as work as a team

A driving license is preferred but not essential

You must be able to work at least every other weekend

You must have a Smart phone with access to Apps and be prepared to use your phone for work
