Little Crickets Day Nursery is a privately owned setting in the glorious grounds of Tring Park Cricket Club, Tring, Hertfordshire, HP23 6HA


Little Crickets Day Nursery in Tring, Hertfordshire is looking for a Nursery Nurse to work 45 hours per week (with half day off Mon-Fri), who can help to create a fun environment and incorporate educational programmes that assist in the children’s development. The person will be responsible for monitoring and supporting children through the EYFS curriculum in order to give the children to access high quality experiences. Responsibilities;

  • To contribute to the creation of a safe, welcoming and inclusive environment for all children
  • To be aware of the nursery’s policies and procedures and ensure these are adhered to
  • To be responsible for the welfare of all children in your designated room, organising systems to ensure consistent, high-quality care
  • To be vigilant and protect children from harm or abuse, reporting any concerns immediately – in accordance with child protection and whistleblowing policies
  • To deploy staff and resources effectively, maintaining ratios in your room whilst supporting other rooms
  • To reflect on practice and routines, tailoring them to meet the individual needs of each child throughout the day
  • Planning and provision of a stimulating range of age-appropriate activities and ensuring your room is well-resourced and creatively set-up
  • Observations and the assessment of children’s learning and development ensuring records are kept up-to-date, are of a high standard and are shared effectively – includes Individual Education Plans for children with Special Educational Needs.


Requirements;

  • NVQ Level 2, 3 or above is desirable but not essential, experience working with children in a nursery setting would be ideal
  • Full time (10 hour shift) 4.5 days 45 hours
  • Day Shift
  • No weekends
