What You'll Be Doing

As a Community Care Assistant, you will provide person-centred care and support to clients in their own homes, helping them maintain their independence, dignity, and quality of life.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting with personal care, including washing, dressing, bathing, and toileting
• Supporting clients with mobility and the safe use of equipment and aids
• Providing companionship and emotional support
• Supporting clients with daily living activities and household tasks
• Assisting with meal preparation and light domestic duties
• Supporting clients requiring palliative and end-of-life care
• Following individual care plans and medication requirements
• Maintaining accurate and confidential care records
• Identifying and reporting any changes in a client's health or wellbeing
• Promoting independence, choice, dignity, and respect at all times
• Working collaboratively with families, healthcare professionals, and the wider care team
• Safeguarding vulnerable adults and reporting concerns promptly

What We're Looking For

Essential Requirements

• Full UK driving licence
• Access to a reliable vehicle for work purposes
• Good spoken and written English
• Right to work in the UK
• Ability to travel throughout Hertfordshire
• Reliable, punctual, and professional approach to work

• Social Care qualification (or willingness to work towards one)
• Experience supporting individuals with complex needs, dementia, or end-of-life care
