What You'll Be Doing
As a Community Care Assistant, you will provide person-centred care and support to clients in their own homes, helping them maintain their independence, dignity, and quality of life.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with personal care, including washing, dressing, bathing, and toileting
- Supporting clients with mobility and the safe use of equipment and aids
- Providing companionship and emotional support
- Supporting clients with daily living activities and household tasks
- Assisting with meal preparation and light domestic duties
- Supporting clients requiring palliative and end-of-life care
- Following individual care plans and medication requirements
- Maintaining accurate and confidential care records
- Identifying and reporting any changes in a client's health or wellbeing
- Promoting independence, choice, dignity, and respect at all times
- Working collaboratively with families, healthcare professionals, and the wider care team
- Safeguarding vulnerable adults and reporting concerns promptly
What We're Looking For
Essential Requirements
- Full UK driving licence
- Access to a reliable vehicle for work purposes
- Good spoken and written English
- Right to work in the UK
- Ability to travel throughout Hertfordshire
- Reliable, punctual, and professional approach to work

- Respect for people from all backgrounds, cultures, and beliefs
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Desirable
- Social Care qualification (or willingness to work towards one)
- Experience supporting individuals with complex needs, dementia, or end-of-life care
