New Brighton Day Nursery are looking for a experieced Room Leader to join the team within the toddler room. We are the only CIC Day Nursery in Wirral and one of the few independent, family run nurseries remaining in the area. Our nursery is purpose built, unlike other converted buildings, so perfect for young children, as outdoor access is direct from each room, no stairs, we have underfloor heating, natural light, open planned spaces, disabled access throughout, adjoining sleep rooms, changing facilities and bathrooms. We offer secure, private large outdoor play areas in and round the building and an outdoor ranger who offers continuous outdoor activities throughout the day.

We are Reggio Emelia inspired so our approach is very much aimed at viewing the children as strong, capable, resilient and rich with wonder and knowledge.


Requirements; 

  • Full time / part time 
  • 38 hours split over 5 days (Part time hours can be considered) 
  • Shift patterns (8.00 - 16.00 / 10.00 - 18.00)

Guidance and Support


· Reinforce and clarity on how we see the child (rich in potential, strong, powerful, competent, curious, able to build relationships, open-mindedness to all that is possible, respect for others, capable of independent, critical thinking- Reggio)

· Model and Reinforce intentional practice – iplans, intentions, resource use

· Support and encourage iplan use and clarity on intentions.

· Support team and build positivity, team work, morale

· Organise daily events or schedule such as lunches, new/ support staff,

· Maintain inventory of resources and encourage good care/ use

· Support delivery of room routines and weekly activity plans

· Work with team to ensure health and safety of room is maintained


Relationships.


· Maintain connection with support team (quality/ operations) to reflect updates, support issues or questions

· Touchpoint for parents and parent partnership – room communications, queries, concerns and a link with management

· Foster a supportive and empathetic room culture and links with wider team

Your Role:

· Child-Centered: Understand and cater to the individual needs, passions, and achievements of your key children. Collaborate closely with parents and your colleagues across different rooms.

· Intentional Practice: Emphasize intentional practice over excessive planning, while maintaining a strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and a commitment to continuous learning.
