Support Worker Supported Living

Atrium Healthcare are recruiting on behalf of a client for Support Workers (Supported Living). You would be joining a highly skilled and talented team rated as ‘Outstanding’ by the CQC and an organisation recently rated at 9.4/10 as a caring and supportive employer by our Learning Disabilities Team.

The client offers two care and support services to adults with a learning disability – Respite Care and Supported Living.

Respite Care – Based on the outskirts of Attleborough, is a purpose-built building staffed 24/7, offering short-term accommodation for up to four adults at a time, with over 100 adults staying each year.

Supported Living – Offers personalised support to people living in their own home.

Responsibilities:

· You will assist individuals with their personal care needs and budgeting, as well as support with menu planning, shopping, cooking and domestic tasks.

· You will also provide support in accessing facilities within the community, including leisure activities and in promoting independence.

· To provide a service to people with learning disabilities and others within the community.

· To support and develop the independence of service users.

· To work within the team and in partnership with others to ensure that this service is of a high standard.

· To undertake tasks with the users of the service which ensure their physical and emotional wellbeing.

· To help assess the needs of particular individuals and develop plans to meet those needs.

· To treat service users with dignity and respect at all times.

· To support service users to achieve their individual goals and aspirations.

· To take personal responsibility for own Health, Safety and Welfare and that of colleagues in the workplace and service users.

· To take personal responsibility for achieving value for money where appropriate.

Essential:

· NVQ in Care (Level 2) or Health and Social Care Diploma or Care Certificate.

· Having the use of a car, a full driving license and Business Class 1 Insurance is essential for this role.

Salary:

£11.00 per hour

You will work within a flexible working rota to provide appropriate support for service users which includes sleep-in duties as required, paid at £42.00 per night, as well as evenings and weekend working which attract an enhanced hourly rate of £11.55.
