Job Requirements / Description
Job Description: Domiciliary Care Worker / Home Carer
Reports to: Registered Manager
Location: In the community
Salary: Equal to or above minimum wage depending on experience (see above)
Hours: [Full-time including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays]
Job Purpose
To deliver high-quality, person-centred care and support to adults in their own homes, promoting independence, dignity, and wellbeing. The Domiciliary Care Worker plays a vital role in enabling service users to live safely and comfortably in their own homes and/or communities
Essential skills/Experience
• Previous experience in a care or support role (formal or informal)
• Compassionate, patient, and reliable nature
• Understanding of person-centred care and dignity in care
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to follow care plans and maintain accurate records
Ideal Candidate/Profile
• Experience in community care
• NVQ/QCF Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care
• Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle
• First Aid and Medication Administration training
• Experience supporting adults with dementia, disabilities, or long-term conditions
• Knowledge of CQC standards
