Nurse Seekers are proud to be working on behalf of a lovely home from home Nursery based in Horsforth, Leeds, who are looking to recruit an inspirational, bubbly, motivated and passionate Level 3 Second in Charge who must be great at using their initiative, hard-working and an inspiring role-model for their young learners.
Key Responsibilities
- To provide a high standard of care and learning for all children attending nursery, implementing a daily routine and providing support to all staff members.
- To be an inspiration to our young learners through providing exciting and stimulating learning moments through activities creating awe and wonderment.
- To provide a stimulating program of indoor and outdoor activities to enable each child to reach their full potential through both adult led and in the moment activities
- Demonstrate a welcoming approach, build strong, professional relationships and offer feedback to parents, treating all personal information confidentially
- Support all staff in the nursery and be a vital part of a successful team
- Actively participate in domestic duties, including the staff room, locking up and laundry rotas, the preparation of snacks and cleaning of your room, equipment and resources.
- To be familiar with all nursery policies and procedures, the Early Years Foundation Stage, Safeguarding, Health and Safety etc and adhere to these at all times
- To encourage a pleasant, social environment with emphasis on meal times, singing and group activities and developing self-confidence
- To act as a role model and support nursery apprentices and work experience students, demonstrating good childcare practice, communication skills and teamwork ability
- To carry out other duties on occasion, relevant to the post, that may be requested by the nursery manager.
Essentials
- Childcare and Education Qualification equivalent to an NVQ Level 3 or above.
- Sound knowledge of childcare development from birth to five years.
- First Aid qualification.
- Knowledge of child protection and safeguarding
- Strong communication and supervisory skill.
