The Role

As a Registered Service Manager (Supported Accommodation) at Dunborne Ltd, you will play a vital role inspiring and leading the team which provide support for wonderful young people (Maximum of 7), aged 16-18 at our two small provisions in Devon (Paignton and Exmouth).


What You'll Do

  • Lead and Inspire: Provide line management, offering supervision, observations, and appraisals to maintain high levels of staff performance.
  • Recruit and Develop: Lead the recruitment, selection, and induction of new staff to ensure adequate staffing levels and maintain service quality.
  • Continuous Improvement: Ensure the service is well led and consistently improved.
  • Quality Assurance: Oversee case recording, ensuring accuracy and compliance while demonstrating the quality of support.
  • Cultivate a Supportive Culture: Enable a culture promoting support, aspiration, and inspiration.
  • Skill Development: Ensure staff have the necessary skills, experience, and qualifications to meet the diverse needs of those we support.
  • Professional Growth: Priorities your own development, including leadership and management training as required.
  • Emergency Response: Participate in the emergency on-call rota alongside other members of the management team.
  • Diverse and Welcoming Environment: Ensure both settings are welcoming, homely, safe, and secure, meeting the needs of individuals from various backgrounds.
  • Safety and Compliance: Implement effective risk assessment and personal safety procedures in line with organisational policies and legislation.
  • Collaboration and Engagement: Develop the service based on consultation and engagement with those we support.
  • Advocacy: Ensure that the entitlements of individuals we support are understood and met by the team.
  • Outcome-Oriented: Ensure that all settings meet the needs of the people we support by achieving the intended outcomes outlined in the Statement of Purpose.
  • Safeguarding: Take responsibility for safeguarding in your service, ensuring the safety of individuals.

What we expect from you

  • 2 years Proven experience as Registered/Service/Team Manager within an Ofsted regulated Children's service
  • Hold or working towards Level 5 Health and Social care qualification
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Accurate report writing skills and attention to detail
  • Strong people manager with a positive and motivated approach to lead by example
  • Alongside the Registered Person/Director you will take a designated lead in the safeguarding culture, practice and ethos of our service
  • Full clean driving licence
