On a day-to-day basis you will be involved in developing and delivering exciting activities and stimulating experiences for children to enable them to have fun and actively learn through purposeful play.


Requirements;

  • Level 2 / 3 in Childcare
  • Full time - 37.5 - 45.5 hours per week
  • 8 - 10 hour shifts
  • Level 2 candidates MUST have at least 2 years experience in a professional childcare setting


Salary Range:

£11.00 increasing to £11.60 - £13.00 per hour from 1st April

£21,450.00 per annum increasing to £22,620.00 - £25,350.00 per annum (up to £26,239.20 – £29,406.00 with overtime) from 1st Apr

Qualification and Experience:

  • Level 3 (preferred) / will consider Level 2 (with 2 years’ experience)
  • Paediatric First Aid Certification
  • Food Hygiene Certification (preferred)
  • DBS Enhanced Certification update service preferred


Safeguarding

  • To be aware of child protection including Portsmouth Safeguarding Children Board requirements and ability to apply these
  • To follow nursery policy and procedures in matters relating to safeguarding.
  • To act promptly and appropriately when given information referring to the Nursery Manager for guidance.
  • To maintain records, attend reviews and case conferences as necessary.
