Gold Standards Framework
Willan House was accredited with the ‘Gold Standard Framework for Care Homes’ in 2015. This award is re-evaluated every three years and we have recently (2019) achieved our Quality Hallmark Award at the ‘Platinum’ level. The Gold Standards Framework is a National award.
Privately Owned Residential Care Home
The owners of Willan House are John and Christine Shiers. Our ethos is to run the care home as a home and not an institution. Some of our resident’s family members have said that Willan House is a ‘big family house’ and that’s exactly what we’re aiming for.
Visiting – Covid 19 Restrictions
Due to the Covid 19 situation, visiting is by appointment only with up to five named visitors able to have close contact visits. This is in line with local/national government guidance. Please contact us for up-to-date information.
