We are looking for an experienced qualified Level 3 practitioner to join our friendly nursery.

Flexible starting hours but MUST work until 6pm
Your role is to provide safe, high quality education and care for all children; to fulfil legal and statutory requirements; to lead and manage staff on a day-to-day basis; to contribute to and to implement nursery policies.
- To take responsibility for drawing up long term, medium term and sessional curriculum plans which take into account the requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage; to monitor the effectiveness of the room curriculum.
- To ensure that the room’s staff, volunteers and resources are effectively managed.
- To be responsible for providing a high quality of teaching and learning, ensuring that staff are properly deployed and offer appropriate stimulation and support to the children.
- To be responsible for implementing systems of observation and record keeping so that children's progress and achievements are effectively and regularly assessed; to monitor the effectiveness of assessment procedures.
- To organise the key person system and to effectively supervise staff on a daily basis; to be responsible for monitoring the quality of teaching; to participate in staff appraisals (when requested) and to identify in-service training needs.
- To ensure records are properly maintained, e.g. daily attendance register and accident records.
- To liaise closely with parents/carers, informing them about the nursery and its curriculum, exchanging information about children's progress and encouraging parents' involvement.
- To be the lead person for child protection in the room and to ensure that any child protection concerns are acted upon immediately and appropriately.
Our team is made of passionate and experienced Early Years Educators working in partnership with parents and carers to give children the best start possible in their lifelong journey of learning and discovery.
We are an Ofsted approved day nursery and provide care for children from the age of 8 weeks up to 10 years old. Our services include school pick up and after care for our neighbouring school Falcons Primary. All our rooms have CCTV monitoring to allow an extra piece of mind.
