Nights Senior Care Assistant

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct care and support to individuals with physical or intellectual disabilities
• Assist with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
• Administer medications and monitor health conditions
• Assist with meal planning, preparation, and feeding
• Provide companionship and emotional support
• Assist with transportation to appointments and community activities
• Maintain a clean and safe living environment
• Care planning
• Supervising and managing a team.
• Excellent communication skills.

Qualifications:

• NVQ Level 3
• Previous experience in caregiving is essential
• Compassionate and patient demeanor
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• To be organised and be able to manage a team.

Skills:

- Excellent interpersonal skills to build rapport with individuals receiving care

- Strong problem-solving abilities to address any challenges that may arise during caregiving

- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively to ensure all responsibilities are completed in a timely manner

- Empathy and understanding to provide emotional support to individuals in need

- Attention to detail to accurately administer medications and follow care plans

Job Types: Full time nights

Pay: £12.44 per hour

Expected hours: 22-33 hours per week - Shifts are 9pm until 8am, 3 nights per week, alternate weekend.

• supervisory: 1 year (preferred)
• providing care: 3 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

• NVQ Level 3 Health & Social Care (preferred) - willing to take Level 2 with Senior/Medication experience
