Care Assistant

Borovere is a 34 bedded residential home with some people living with early onset dementia.

We are a not-for-profit company, so everything goes back into the home to provide those little extras for the residents.

Borovere is part of a bigger organisation called Greensleeves which has 28 homes in total around the country.

We are looking to employ Carers to work night or day shift’s part time or full time, in our beautiful residential care home. This position would be suitable for candidates who are caring and compassionate individuals and no previous experience in care is needed as full induction and on-going training is provided.

We also have a variety of shifts on offer, these include morning, and afternoon shifts and the successful candidate will be required to work alternate weekends.

Successful candidate will be required to provide references, and the appointment is subject to an enhanced DBS disclosure, cost of which is met by the employer.

Responsibilites:

To share with staff in meeting the personal care needs of residents in a way that repsects the dignity of the individual and promotes their independance.

Assist residents who require help with washing and dressing, to use the toilet, help with mobility. Monitor the needs of the residents and report to the senior team any concerns.

Promote meantal & physical activities for residents. Make and change beds, do light cleaning and empty commodes.

Work as a team, help each other out in every area of the home.

Hours

Days & Nights available

Part time and Full time hours: 

Part time (3 shifts per week)

Full time (4-5 shifts per week)

Alternate weekends required

Days - 8am - 2pm and 2pm - 9pm (Mixture but must be available for both)

Nights - 9pm - 8am

Pay

£12.88 per hour unqualified 

£13.26 per hour Level 2

£13.51 per hour Level 3

No experience is required as full training is provided
