An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Occupational Therapist undertake a permanent, full-time role within a Mental Health Rehabilitation Unit in Walton on the Hill, Surrey

The service is a recovery focused, rehabilitation unit providing specialist mental health treatment for male Service Users aged 18 and over. The service specialises in individualised care and treatment utilising least restrictive practice principles and safe practice to support Service Users in their recovery.

They are committed to delivering a high standard of Service User centred care, with the Service User encouraged and supported to be actively involved in the development and review of their treatment and pathway in accordance with their own abilities.

As a Senior Occupational Therapist working here, you will be directly enhancing the lives of the patients by delivering psychologically-informed therapeutic treatments and outcomes-focused rehabilitation, enabling a timely discharge into the community.

You will be supported by an experienced multi-disciplinary team of professional Managers, Support Workers and Nurses whilst developing your skills and knowledge within this specialist area of care.

The role will involve:

* Manage and coordinate the implementation of individual treatment plans
* Receive and respond promptly to referrals.
* Maintain and develop close working relationships with professional and clinical colleagues.

To apply for this role, you will need a Diploma in Occupational Therapy or BSc in Occupational Therapy and have full HCPC Registration. 2 years of post-qualification experience is required, ideally within a secure setting. Knowledge of Autism/Learning Difficulties and relevant postgraduate courses would all be desirable, but not essential.
