Rostercare Ltd are seeking experienced Healthcare Assistants to work within established residential and nursing homes in Norwich and surrounding areas.
The role as a Healthcare Assistant is offered on a temporary but ongoing basis with full-time hours available, due to the nature of the healthcare industry you will be asked to work some weekends to coincide with current members of staff and the needs of the business as and when required.
An enhanced DBS check will be required before completion of registration and two references will be obtained by Rostercare LTD from previous employers due to the role working with vulnerable adults.
Healthcare Assistant duties include but are not limited to:
•Caring for residents with physical, emotional, or cognitive (e.g; Dementia) impairments
•Provides support, encouragement, and companionship by engaging clients in activities, such as playing games, taking walks and having conversations
•Perform light cleaning duties in the care home along with other members of staff as required
•Assist in the safe lifting, repositioning and movement of residents
•Assisting residents with self-care, such as toileting, bathing, dressing, brushing teeth, eating, etc.
•Observe, monitor and record residents’ physical and emotional wellbeing, promptly reporting any concerns or changes to Senior staff members
•Assisting other members of staff as and when required
Healthcare Assistant desirable skills and Qualifications :
•A minimum of 6 months experience working within the care sector
•Level 2 or Level 3 NVQ in Health & Social Care
•Full, clean UK driving license – desirable but not essential
•A positive and compassionate attitude
•Reliable and timely
•Patient, conscientious and understand
•Strong verbal and written communication
•Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and part of a dynamic team
•Ability to understand and follow care homes policies and procedures
