An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Occupational Therapist undertake a permanent, full-time role with a medium & low secure private Hospital in Cheadle, Staffordshire.

The specialist services provided at this site provides crucial support for men and women with learning disabilities and/or autism and associated complex conditions such as personality disorder, mental health & forensic issues.

As an Occupational Therapist working here, you will be directly enhancing the lives of the patients by delivering psychologically-informed therapeutic treatments and outcomes-focused rehabilitation, enabling a timely discharge into the community.

You will be supported by an experienced multi-disciplinary team of professional Managers, Support Workers and Nurses whilst developing your skills and knowledge within this specialist area of care.

The role will involve:

* Assessing the provision of activities and groups and identify necessary changes to the timetable.
* Providing specific individual assessments of patients where it is identified by the multidisciplinary team as necessary.
* To Support Senior Therapeutic Care Workers to ensure the organisation of activities for patients, including weekend and evening activities.

To apply for this role, you will need a Diploma in Occupational Therapy or BSc in Occupational Therapy and have full HCPC Registration. Experience of working within a secure setting, knowledge of Autism/Learning Difficulties and relevant postgraduate courses would all be desirable, but not essential.
