BCOP (Broadening Choices for Older People) was founded as a charity in 1946 to provide a variety of services for older people living in Birmingham. Today it continues to provide a range of accommodation, care and support, including independent and supported social housing, care homes with nursing and Day Centre places in our care homes.

BCOP also offers a highly reputable dementia care provision with innovative therapeutic activities such as animal-assisted therapy and Sensory Street.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Care Manager to join our team at our nursing home - Neville Williams House in Selly Park. It is an exciting time for the home as we are in the process of implementing "Nourish" an electronic care planning system. BCOP has also received the carehome.uk award for the top 20 care home group in 2020.

Neville Williams House is a well established 50 bed nursing home situated in the leafy suburb of Selly Park, which prides itself on the high standard of care and support we provide to our residents. Especially equipped for individuals living with dementia, all of our 50 en-suite spacious bedrooms allow each and every resident privacy whilst remaining settled in a calming and caring environment. Neville Williams House boasts several communal lounges, in addition to the on-site pet-farm, pub and sensory room.

About the role

You will support the General Home Manager with the running of the nursing home and take the overall responsibility for the provision and monitoring of high-quality care services and in all matters regarding care and clinical governance. You will also need to deputise for the general manager in their absence. Our Care Managers in conjunction with the General Home Managers are the main drivers of our Quality, compassion, homely reputation and business and must at all times remain positive ambassadors for the charity, by upholding and promoting the values of BCOP.

You will need to be a qualified registered nurse with a valid NMC pin as well as having a minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role or clinical lead role. You will need to be passionate about delivering a high-quality service to our residents and motivate and lead our team to do the same.
