We are looking for fun, enthusiastic and highly motivated Care assistants to support adults with learning disabilities and challenging behaviour. As a Care Assistant, you will be expected to carry out a range of tasks and activities in line with individual person-centered support plans working to promote independence, ensuring fulfillment and enhancing their life opportunities and aspirations.
Things can change daily, and you will be expected to act on your own initiative. The is a very rewarding position for care assistants of all levels which offers an exciting opening for flexible and innovative people who have a genuine interest in quality care provision and can demonstrate commitment with compassion to individuals with complex needs. Responsibilities of a Care assistant
To support individuals in their homes, and, be vigilant regarding the maintenance of a safe, effective and secure management of their support, care needs, health and welfare, and environmental conditions.
To work in an effective manner complying with legal and regulatory guidelines in accordance with Company expectations and service requirements.
To protect the welfare of fellow staff and follow the organisation's policy and procedure in line with best practice guidelines.
To adhere to Support Plans, Risk Assessments, Medical, and Behaviour Plans and other such documentation pertaining to the support of individual Service Users.
To report any problems or concerns which may arise regarding the Service User.
To provide the highest standards of holistic care and attention, including providing personal, emotional and practical support to Service Users, and involving them in all aspects of their support and care. This may include, personal care, budgeting and social activities. To act as a positive role model to Service Users' as a means of enhancing their personal development. To demonstrate effective time management and act in accordance with the needs of the service to which you are assigned. This may involve day and night shift and weekend work as necessary.
Experience preferred but not necessary as we will provide all the training and support you will need.
