Nurse Seekers are proud to be working on behalf of a well-established nursery who are looking to recruit a Nursery Manager for their excellent Montessori nursery based near Ealing Broadway, London.
The ideal Nursery Manager candidate will need to have excellent organisational and managerial skills together with a well driven, passionate attitude. As well as a commitment to longevity at the setting!
Requirements:
You should have a minimum L3 Early Years qualification or equivalent and a management qualification is desirable although not essential. You will have a proven track record of successfully working in partnership with parents/carers/agencies, implementing the EYFS, experience of leading and developing a team of day nursery staff and commercial experience. You will also have excellent interpersonal skills.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
1. To be responsible for the day-to-day running of the Nursery.
2. To provide a child-centred environment where children are cared for in a safe, caring and stimulating way that ensures their individual needs are met within a group setting.
3. To ensure the national standards for the registration of childcare are maintained at all times.
4. To implement the Nursery’s Equal Opportunities Policy in all aspects of the Nursery and other childcare services.
5. To work in partnership with the Early Years Department, local childcare/educational providers, health providers, Sure Start, Ofsted and other relevant agencies.
6. To establish and maintain effective working relationships with partner agencies
7. To develop and review applicable policies and procedures and then to ensure that the Nursery operates within the framework set.
8. To establish and deliver an effective curriculum which includes assessment, planning and evaluation.
9. To ensure the implementation of the EYFS curriculum for all children 0-5 years.
10. To develop and maintain procedures for regular review and assessment of each child’s progress in partnership with parents.
11. To implement and manage an effective parent liaison programme, ensuring regular communication and interaction with parents.
12. To receive and deal with complaints positively in accordance with procedures.
13. To work as a senior member of the team and to promote all activities being provided by the Nursery.
14. To attend regular supervision, team meetings, senior management meetings and training as required
